James W. Compton, age 82, passed away on October 25, 2020. He was born on March 9, 1938 to Ben and Minnie Mae Compton in Baskett, Kentucky.
James worked for and retired from Welborn Baptist Hospital. He enjoyed detailing cars and spending time with his family. He was a kindhearted man who would do anything for anyone.
Preceding him death is his wife Wanda Compton, as well as his parents, and siblings Gladys Camp, Mabel Pruitt, Mattie Combs, George Compton, and his step daughter Kathy Quarles.
James is survived by his niece Sharon Pruitt, nephew Thomas Combs, stepsons George Quarles, James Quarles, and Keith Quarles. In addition, he is survived by his 20 grandchildren and special friend Lorene Williams.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
