James W. Burdick II, 73, passed away on July 25, 2023. He was born on December 7, 1949, in Evansville, Indiana. James was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Bristol Myers after 35 years. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed golfing, camping, and bowling. Above all, his family meant the world to him. He especially treasured the time spent with his 7 beautiful grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife 54 wonderful years Alice Burdick; children James (Lisa) Burdick and Toni (Allen) Robinson; grandchildren Braylyn Burdick, Brilee Burdick, Makenna Burdick, Kendra Hess, Ryan Hess, Addie Robinson, Paige Robinson; siblings Marshall Adams, Becky Burdick, Willy (Tina) Burdick, Theressa Burdick, Honna (Ray) Schloss, Toyi (Bob) Reinneck, and Melody Murphy; friends Jack (Julie) Â Briody and Scott (Kelley) Floyd; and numerous extended loving family.
James was preceded in death by his parents James William Burdick and Marilyn Burdick and his daughter Tona Lynn Burdick.
A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice and West River Health Campus for their care and compassion for James and his family during this time.
A Memorial Service for James will be held at 10am with the funeral service beginning at 12pm on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home.
