James Robert “Bob” Wedding Jr. went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2021. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 2, 1946, to James R., Sr. and Elizabeth L. (Wood) Wedding.

Bob grew up in Evansville. He was in the Boy Scouts with all his brothers. He attended Memorial High School. He participated in a few sports activities while there. After graduating in 1964, Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served in Vietnam, where he was wounded twice. He received the Purple Heart for his strength and bravery. Following his time in the service, Bob attended the University of Evansville for two years. Afterwards, Bob worked in a few different industries. He worked at Redspot, manufacturing paint as well as working with the United States Postal Service delivering mail. Bob enjoyed painting landscapes and portraits; he even had some of his work displayed at the Newburgh Gallery. He also enjoyed going camping and fishing, as well as taking pictures and photography. He liked tinkering with cars and liked reading his bible daily. Bob was a spontaneous guy who loved adventure. He came from a big family, and everybody loved him.

Bob is survived by his son, Donovan (Wendy) Wedding; his mother, Elizabeth Wedding; his siblings, Tony Wedding, Mike Wedding, Roger (Nancy) Wedding, Jan Brown, Steve (Debbie) Wedding, Dennis (Cindy) Wedding, and Sharon (Keith) Konopka; his grandchildren, Brandon and Makayla Wedding; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, James Sr., his brother-in-law, Michael Brown; and sister-in-law, Patricia Wedding.
