James Walker Evans (Jimmy) of Evansville, Indiana passed away on June 21, 2019. He was born August 17, 1951 to his parents, the late Roy and Imogene (Hensley) Evans.  Jimmy will be deeply missed by his family and many close friends.

Jimmy had a passion for restoring and showing street rods. He was the proud owner of J & R Upholstery in Evansville, Indiana established in 1980 and successfully operated his business for 30 years.  Jimmy traveled the country to show his collections and received numerous awards for his work. Above all other things he loved spending time with his wife, Carolyn, his children, James and Jennifer, daughter-in-law, Connie, and grandson Chase. Many wonderful memories were made while traveling as a family to their vacation home in Winter Haven, Florida.  We can’t forget Jimmy’s friends who were also a huge part of his life.  He will be remembered as always helping someone in need.
