Jacilynn Elizabeth Holifield, 22, passed away on February 24, 2019. She was born on October 22, 1996 to Jeff and Teresa Holifield in Pensacola, Florida.
Jacilynn was full of personality and not afraid to speak her mind. She loved animals and had a soft heart for rescues. Jacilynn graduated from North High School and studied at the University of Southern Indiana. Growing up, Jacilynn was very competitive and most involved with the swim team at Oak Meadow G.C and also enjoyed basketball with the NYBA, soccer, taekwondo and golf. She worked as a hostess at Roca Bar for 5 years and Southwestern Indiana Land Title, Inc as a post closer with her mother. Jacilynn loved to make people laugh and hanging out with her friends, who knew her best as “Jaci”. She adored her niece and nephew and was the proudest aunt. She especially loved to be by the water, whether it was fishing or hanging out at the beach. She was so full of life and will be dearly missed by those who knew her best.
Jacilynn is survived by her parents Jeff and Teresa Holifield; her siblings Eric (Natalie) Strickler, Dana (Dusty) Jourdan, and Jeffrey Cole Holifield; grandparents Libby (Pat) O’Brien and James Edward Holifield; niece Giada Strickler; nephew Anthony Jourdan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved rescue dog “Rocky”.
Jacilynn was preceded in death by her grandmother Carol Sue Holifield and grandfather Ed Leudenburg.
Private family services will be held in Pensacola, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite animal rescue in honor of Jacilynn.
