Gregory Lewis Jones, 72, passed away on July 1, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1948, to Leroy and Catherine (Woods) Jones in Evansville, Indiana.

Greg loved and was loved by many. He had many accomplishments but really loved life. After graduating from Bosse High School in 1965, Greg enlisted in the service and became a Marine; which took him over to aid in Vietnam. After being discharged, Greg joined the Evansville Police Department. Greg opened his own business offering DJ services (Dj Master Rocker). Greg wore many hats he was well known for all his jack of trades. He loved watching football, especially the Colts. Greg loved to joke and clown around. All in all, Greg was a great man, well-loved by many, and will be dearly missed.

Greg is survived by his children, Brian Jones, Jawan Jones, Greg Jones Jr., Miracle Jones, Colleen Jones, and Lindsey (Jones) Booker; his sister, Marsha Tipton; uncle Carvey Jones; many loving grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two nieces and a nephew.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held for Greg on July 8, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation time will begin at 11:00am with the service to start at 12:00pm. A graveside service with military honors will immediately follow.
