Greg A. Hargraves
April 5, 1955 – January 23, 2023

Greg will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Although Greg never married, or had children of his own he loved his nieces as his own. He loved his great nieces and nephews even more and his great greats even more. How do we sum the love he poured into others within the confines of this paragraph?  We continue to love one another as he would. By giving our time, our resources, sharing stories with happiness and tears in our eyes. For we must understand Greg lived by these words; Love is to be lived and felt, not said or heard.

Greg was one of the most authentic humans ever, filter free he spoke his mind. Greg believed that children are the light of this world, especially those who were having the toughest of times, he had a burden for children, he would spend years collecting soda and beer tabs to donate to children’s charities.

Greg most enjoyed Sunday afternoons at his moms, he enjoyed hanging out at Ed’s down on Haynie’s corner. He enjoyed music and sunsets from his third story apartment window of 30 years down on Locust St. Greg found purpose in being needed, whether it was painting for one or providing a meal for another or polishing a floor, Greg found purpose in serving others. He treasured his few but very close friendships, especially with Mike, Charlie and Ed. It must be said that, although Greg had been known to drive in his younger years, when he would speak about J.P. Taxi, he would dote “J.P. Taxi was family to Greg”

Greg is survived by his sister Rhonda Satterfield, his brothers Steven Hargraves and Brian Hochstetler (wife Misty). Nieces and nephews Jeana Clegg, Melanie (Joe)Doty, Layla Thomas, Eric, Dusty and April Hochstetler, Miranda Navarro. Krisayln, Noah and Olivia. Last but definitely not least his Greats; Payton, Malachi, Aspen, Bella, Greyson, Anderson, Aubrey, Lilah, Taheri, Kayleigh, Tahla, Violet Kay & Benson.

Greg is preceded in his earthly departure by his mother Foris Jean Collins (Steinsultz) and father Prentice Hargraves, brother in law Michael Satterfield.
