Elmer C. Roettger, 102, passed away on April 30th, 2022. He was born on March 20, 1920, to Elmer A. and Alvina Roettger in Evansville, Indiana.
Elmer worked 34 years at Bootz Manufacturing. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of Old North United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He always had river camps, he loved being on the water. He will be missed greatly.
Elmer was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Margaret Roettger; son Wayne Roettger, grandchildren Tony Niehaus, Scott Roettger, and Brent Roettger.
Elmer is survived by children Shirley Niehaus, Kenneth (Mary) Roettger (Kevil, KY), Delores “DJ” Coomer (Clinton); grandchildren Debbie Kimball (Nashville, TN), Sherri Horton, Randy Niehaus, Todd Roettger (Kevil, KY), Jamie Wright, Tara Wunderlich, Jeff Coomer; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, and following on Thursday at 11am until the time of service at 12pm on Thursday, May 5th, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
