You could feel the LOVE in my Uncle Bub. He so loved his wife and kids and grandkids and talked about them every chance he could. He will be greatly missed and I will miss our text catch-ups as I loved the pictures we both shared. Until we meet again R.I.P and catch some big fish with your siblings. Xox
Edwin Charles Chase, 81, passed away on June 22, 2023. He was born in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, on October 28, 1941, unto Edward B. and Leona (Wettstein) Chase.
Edwin grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. While listening to the radio, one cold winter day, Edwin called in and won tickets to the Ice Bowl, where he saw his favorite team play, the Green Bay Packers. In 1991, Edwin married Shirleen. She caught his eye working in the deli at the Great Scott grocery store, while he was there delivering Double Cola. Edwin retired as a supervisor from Double Cola after 20 years. Edwin really enjoyed camping in the camper at the various state parks. Shirleen especially loved when he took her to the Ozarks. He also enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales, looking for the treasures that others were ready to part with. Edwin wore many hats. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and just so much more. He will be missed greatly, but live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Edwin is survived by his loving wife, Shirleen; his children, Chad (Steve), Carrie, Brenda, Richard, Randy (Jodie), Tony (Maureen), and Brian (Kristina); his sister, Kathy; and many more loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family members.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter in law, Jessica; his stepfather, Ben Braley; and his siblings, Richard, Ray, Joyce, and Pat.
Services for Edwin will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation for the public will begin at 10am with the service to begin at 11am. Zoom livestreaming will be available during the time of service.
