Doyle C. “CC” Carroll, 48, passed away on August 19, 2021. He was born on February 23, 1973, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, to Doyle C. Sr. and Lisa (Cheshire) Carroll.

CC was a son, brother, father, and companion. He attended Mt. Carmel High School in Illinois. He eventually met his love and mother of his children, Laura Lowe. CC worked for DHL as a delivery driver for 13 years, and afterwards, opened an auto and repair business with his boys, Jake and Josh. CC loved to go boating. He also enjoyed being creative with his culinary skills. He liked smoking different meats and making spicy food. CC also loved working on classic cars; he had an amazing Chevelle that he kept the longest. He loved all kinds of music, but his favorite was heavy metal. CC did discover his faith in the end. He was a loving and kindhearted man; a man who will be missed but remembered by all who knew him.

CC is survived by the love of his life Laura Lowe; his children, Jake (Maddy) Carroll with granddaughter, Raelee Carroll and Josh Carroll; his mother, Lisa (Monty) Sandefur; his siblings, Shiela (David) Moser, Joe (Virginia) Carroll, and Anna (John) Green; a half-sister by his father, Jeri Berger; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

CC was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Sr., a half-brother by his father, Gary Carroll; and lifelong best friend, Brandon Russell.

The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Davita Dialysis North for the care that was given.

Sunset Funeral Home will be hosting a Celebration of Life service for CC on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Visitation will begin at 11:00am with the service to follow at 12:00pm. Pastor James Wells from Bible Center Cathedral will be officiating.
