Donna Marlene (Bitts) Hudnall, 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away at Linda E. White Hospice House on August 18, 2018. She was born January 5, 1938 in Evansville, IN to the late Lavender (James) Riggins and Donald Bitts. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Riggins and Michael Bitts. She graduated from Francis Joseph Reitz High School in 1956.

Anyone that had the joy of meeting Donna was blessed; you would never have met another woman that was as kind, compassionate, and caring as her. She spent her entire life loving everyone. She was always known to give and would go without to provide for others.

Donna always had a beautiful smile and a great personality. She impacted every person she met for the better. She loved to bake, cook, arrange flowers, listen to country music, watch NASCAR and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She spent many years traveling with her children for sporting events and tournaments, choir competitions, and dance recitals. She was a grandmother that would spend her evenings and weekends going from one event to another to show her support. Donna found a renewed joy when she got her puppy, “Princess”, who has never left her side.

Donna is survived by her husband of 34 years, Terry Hudnall; sons, Jeffrey Pryor, Shawn (Erin) Johnston, and Scott (Kelsey) Johnston; daughters, Tammy Pryor, Brenda Guetling, and Brandi Johnston; grandsons, Charlie and Justin Guetling; Andrew, Stephen, and Cooper Johnston; granddaughters, Shawna Pryor; Tiffany Guetling; Ireland, July and Lydia Johnston; Summer, Sydni, and Shelby Ames; great-grandson, Cole Guetling; sister, Lavender “Janice” Peckenpaugh; niece, Robin (Mike) Aldrich; nephew, Jody (Kathy) Peckenpaugh; cousins, David (Sharon) Shelton; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donna retired from Gamco Products after 24 years of faithful service and went back to work shortly thereafter as she did not like to sit idle. She was a lifetime member of Howell General Baptist Church. In her lifetime she has been a cook at many local restaurants, worked at a local flower shop with a longtime friend, a cafeteria lunch lady, and many other jobs. Donna always knew the meaning of hard work and gave of herself 110% no matter what she did.

The family would like to thank the staff at Linda E. White Hospice House for their hospitality, excellent attention and care given to Donna and our family during our time with them. A special thanks to the VNA Home Hospice members: Sharon, Kristy, Mercedes, Gloria, and the many CNA’s for their loving care.

A visitation will be held from 5 until 8pm Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 10am Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville, Indiana.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Linda E. White Hospice House in loving memory of Donna.
