Donald “Duck” Carlisle, 83, of Evansville, IN passed away on February 15, 2019 at Cypress Grove Nursing Home. He was born on March 8, 1935 to Ernest and Esther Carlisle.
Donald had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed telling stories and jokes. Donald was with Tri-State Painting for over 65 years. Donald loved re-building cars, watching to war stories on History Channel and listening to old 60s music. Donald and his wife, Ethel, were members of Ridge Church in Grayville, IL.
Donald is survived by his children Richard (Karen) Carlisle of Newburgh and Vikki Dillman of Evansville; grandchildren Christopher (Heather) Russell, Jeni Russell, Amber (Brandon) Opperman, and Alex Dillman of Evansville; great-grandchildren Caylee (Liam) Fitzgerald, Charleigh Murphy, and Ceanna Murphy of Evansville and Kaleb Russell, Jaiden Russell, and Jaxon Russell of Texas; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Carlisle; granddaughter Carson Kaye Carlisle; and son-in-law Joseph Dillman.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m until time of service at 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 19th at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Deaconess Hospice or Cypress Grove Nursing Home.
