Donald “Don” G. Harris, 70, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2023.
He was born on September 9, 1952, to Donald J. Harris and Dorothy (Nichols) Krause in Evansville, IN.
Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Don was very active in the community; he worked as a Paramedic in Warrick County, Deputy Sherriff for Vanderburgh County, Darmstadt Town Marshall, Volunteer Firefighter with Scott Township, and Chief Deputy Coroner in Warrick and Vanderburgh County. Don was an ordained Pastor and strong in his faith. Don had a servant’s heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing music, and spending time outdoors. Above all, Don was a family man. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Brenda Harris; children Stacy (Stephen) George, Misti (Darick) Byrns, and Ryan Harris; grandchildren Dylan, Bryleigh, Avery; great-grandchild Karsyn; and numerous loving extended family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Donald J. Harris and Dorothy Krause.
Visitation will be from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am on July 22, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home.
