Donald A. Briggs, 83, entered God’s loving arms on Monday, November 5, 2018. He was born on December 15, 1934. He was from North Adams, Massachusetts where he met Rosemary, the love of his life. They were blessed with 63 years of marriage.
Donald was very strong in his faith. He was a trustee and member of Victory Baptist Church in Evansville, IN for 30 years. He worked as a small engine mechanic for Deig Brothers for 11 years. He enjoyed the great outdoors and loved fishing with his family. He was very outgoing and every person he met was greeted with a firm handshake.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Briggs; his children Nancy (Raymond) Cormier, Susan (Billie) Goodman, and Donnie (Frankie) Briggs; his grandchildren Aaron (Jeanie) Gamache, Joseph Cormier, and Adam (Michelle) Gamache; his 5 great-grandchildren; his sister Carol (Don) Reese and family.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 10th at 11 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. There will be a graveside memorial service Thursday, November 15th at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
Family would like to thank the VNA and Hospice nurses and the Gateway ICU nurses that took care of Donald. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Victory Baptist Church.
