Dennis Richie “Rich” Mayes, born July 6, 1949 passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Edgewater FL after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
He drove a school bus for EVSC for 23 years.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967-68.
Survived by his Peggy of 47 years, son Kevin (Leslie) of Evansville, daughter Christa (Deon) Mayes of Chicago IL, granddaughters Kyrah Davis, Ariya and Deira Hester and Autumn Mayes, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at Sunset Funeral Home with viewing on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12 pm with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
