In heaven, on December 3, 2022, David Williams welcomed his lovely bride Debra Williams (77) to again be by his side. They are currently celebrating 57 years of wedded bliss and are happy to be together again forever.

Debra grew up in Elizabeth, Indiana but moved to Evansville when she and David married in 1965. She has lived on Evansville’s West Side ever since and is a member of St. James West United Methodist Church.

The ultimate planner and efficiency optimizer, Debra gave birth to both of her sons (Todd & Gary) on April 27th….five years apart. She spent her lifetime devoted to her husband and sons; investing and caring deeply about their happiness and success. She also loved and is loved by her seven grandchildren.

Debra loved to travel….whether it being backpacking through Europe (with six suitcases) to visit her second-born Gary studying abroad in Sweden….or riding across the US for two weeks on the back of a motorcycle with David at the handlebars and her oldest Todd on a Harley by their side.

Debra was a consummate collector of clothing, costume jewelry, and knick-knacks. Local retail establishments are mourning and will continue to mourn her loss for some time. Throughout her life, she kept AT&T in business and wore out countless telephones keeping in contact with and staying close to and helping her many friends.

She passed away with her sons by her side and she watches over them now, filled with joy by how they have banded together, united in this time of grief.

Visitation Services will be held in Evansville, IN at the Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 3pm CST to 7pm CST. The funeral will also be held at Sunset on Friday, December 9, 2022 with visitation at 10am and the service following at 11am CST.
