No matter what time of the day or night. She was known to help the less fortunate regardless of her own situation. I will and am missing her. Such a great and one of a kind friend. Fly high! Deanne M. Schmitt, age 76, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Edward and Valerie Strupp.
Deanne was a “free spirit” who enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed travelling, shopping for bargains, animals, tropical destinations, and new adventures. Deanne was compassionate, loving, and generous to everyone.
Deanne is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter Alicia (Declan) Flenner and her son Kevin (Erin) Schmitt. Deanne is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Symphonie Holloway, Makala Holloway, Cameron Holloway, Connor Schmitt, and Archer Schmitt; 2.5 great-grandchildren Jaxton Green, King Anderson, and Baby J (due January 2022). In addition, she is survived by her sisters Sharon Willman and Patricia Nichols; and her brother Dale Strupp; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:30pm with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
