Christopher Eden Sims, 55, passed away on March 11, 2023. He was born on November 29, 1967, in Evansville, Indiana.
Chris served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Central High School. He went on to graduate from Ivy Tech with a degree in Welding. Chris was an extremely talented artist; he wrote the most creative pieces, beautiful poetry, and painted. He was musically inclined and had an amazing singing voice. His beautiful eyes and magnetic spirit will be missed.
Chris is survived by his parents Marilyn Hufnagel and Ken Hufnagel; aunts LeeAnn Lutz, Tracey Baize, Carolyn Counts, Cindy Counts; cousins Ron Counts, Brent Counts, Joy Reis, Kyle Lutz, Sarah Lutz, Heath Baize, Derrick Baize, Michael Baize; numerous extended family.
Chris was preceded in death by his uncles Frank Counts Jr., and Douglas Counts.
Visitation will be from 11am- 1pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum with burial to follow. Family and friends are encouraged to share stories of Chris throughout the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linda E. White Hospice and American Cancer Society in honor of Chris.
