Cheryl was my partner at work. She was a pleasure to work with. She challenged me to do better everyday. She was full of compassion and truly cared for her fellow humans. You would be a better person just knowing her.
Cheryl Sue Housman (75) of Evansville, Indiana, went to be with Jesus on July 4, 2023.
Cheryl was a loving Mom, and proud Mamaw/Meemaw to her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, and growing plants.
She graduated from Central High school in 1965 and went on to retire from Southwestern Behavioral Health Center after 25 years of service. She was committed in her professional and private life to helping people achieve recovery from addiction. She was a proud and contributing member of OA for many years sponsoring members of our community.
Cheryl will be lovingly missed by her daughters Andrea Berry (Dwayne) of Evansville, IN, and Amy Willis (Tim) of Eddyville KY; grandchildren Bailey Rushing (Tamaira), Isaac Rushing, and Libby Bai-Jia Berry; and best friend Cherylene Jordan along with numerous family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents William H. and Bessie Wulff; her sister Marinell Wilcox, brother in-law Hall Wilcox “Junior”, her brother William “Billy” Wulff, and sister-in-law Dorothy Wulff.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 11th at 10 with a service to follow at 12 at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Rev. Doug Heiman with entombment to follow at Locust Hill cemetery.
