Bruce Arthur Williams, 95, of Evansville, Indiana passed away Monday November 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Bruce was born September 1, 1926 in Evansville to Clarence O. and Helen E. Shilling Williams.
Bruce served in the United States Marine Corp in Guam and The Occupation of China.
Later he was employed by his father, owner of Williams Auto Glass, on the Westside of Evansville. Eventually, he was sole owner of the business for many years.
He spent many hours enjoying and participating in team bowling, softball leagues, and boating.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of over thirty years Mary Williams. He is also survived by his three children; Cathy (James) Wells of Monroe, Tennessee, Becky (James) Sackett of Mentor, Ohio, and Dean (Kimberly) Williams of Snellville, Georgia. Bruce leaves behind his grandchildren; Anissa (Patrick) Simmons, Taylor Sackett, Taylor Williams, and Corbin Williams. Bruce’s step children include; Robert (Melissa) Ellsworth of Madison, Alabama, Lisa Ellsworth of Newburgh, Indiana and Paul Ellsworth of Evansville, Indiana. Step grandchildren include Ryan (Jessica) Schillo, Alyssa Weakly, Tarahji Ellsworth, and Paul Ellsworth Jr.
A Celebration of Life to honor Bruce will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Saturday December 11th, 2021 with visitation from 12-3 with service at 3pm that will be officiated by Chaplin Rita Vibbert with military honors to follow.
The family wants to thank AseraCare nurses, aids, and all involved in their dedication and hard work during Bruce’s care.
