Brenda Harper

Brenda (Wilson-Honaker) Harper, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. There will be a celebration of life service on Monday, August 1st at 6 pm with visitation from 4 to 6 pm at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 1800 St.George Road in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 17, 1947 to LeRoy Wilson and Inez (Walden) Wilson. She was a compassionate and caring mother, grandmother and wife. Family played an integral role in her happiness. She always opened her home to friends and family becoming the center of all holiday gatherings. She enjoyed Christmas get-togethers, fall family soup day, and any time she could be with her grandchildren.  Brenda devoted many years working in the grocery business at Neville’s IGA and Wesselmann’s Grocery Stores. She enjoyed playing bunko with her friends and fishing with her husband.

Brenda is preceded in death by her mother and father, Inez and LeRoy Wilson, and her siblings: Roger Wilson, Doug Wilson, and Joy Mitchell. 

She is survived by her husband, Boyd Harper; her two children: Tammy Alsop (James) and Eric Honaker (Angel); her 8 grandchildren: Erica, Gladney, Isaac, Sarah, Ruth, Hannah, Mary-Beth, and Rebecca; stepsons Mark Harper (Dana) and Chris Harper (Kayla); her cousin Donna Clements (Dave); and her niece, Krista Hulsey (Dave).
