    I just found out of the passing of an old girl friend of mine from way back in the mid 1950’s, Bev and I played so much tennis together around Bosse High Schooll that we became very close. Rest in Peace dear lady.

Beverly “Bev” McKinnis Mangold, 81, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.  Bev was born on October 1, 1940, to John F. McKinnis, Sr. and Marcella (Connor) McKinnis in Evansville IN.

Bev loved all things sports, both playing and watching.  She loved tennis, baseball, football, and basketball.  She had a competitive spirit and played with determination.  Bev also enjoyed traveling, with Florida and New Orleans being her favorite destinations.  Bev was in her element if she was outdoors, “if the sun was shining, Bev was outdoors!”  Bev also enjoyed boating on the Ohio River and camping.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents John F. McKinnis, Sr. and Marcella McKinnis; stepmother Phyllis McKinnis, and her brother Darrell McKinnis.  She is survived by her loving husband Donald “Don” Mangold, her son Dirk Mangold (Heather Baker), her brother John F. McKinnis, Jr. (Rhonda) and many nieces, nephew, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 5pm-7pm and also on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 10am-11am with services beginning at 11am at Sunset Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
