Anna Lois (Day) Brooks, 87, of Evansville, IN passed away Monday, November 15, 2021

Anna was born in Henderson County, Kentucky on March 28, 1934, to the late Aubrey and Bonnie (Hicks) Day. She married Joel Lee Brooks on November 1, 1952, and they enjoyed 69 years together. Anna graduated from Evansville Central High School in 1950. She was a voracious reader, a gifted seamstress, and a wonderful cook. She loved watching Judge Judy, and her favorite song was Green Green Grass of Home.

Anna is survived by her husband, Joel Brooks; children Bonnie Jane Brooks of Melbourne, FL, Walter Bryan Brooks (Teresa) of Brentwood, TN, Kevin James Brooks of Robards, KY, Jennifer Lee Mayo (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, and Thad Andrew Brooks of Evansville, IN, sister Cynthia Orshovsky, and grandchildren Lauren Michelle Brooks, Chad Ashley Brooks, and Anna Patricia Mayo, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Sarah Maynard and Barbara Howell, and brother William Day.

Anna has requested no visitation and services will be private. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America
