Alma I.  Best, 83, passed away on October 27, 2022. She was born on March 25, 1939, to James and Phedalia Trapp. Alma was born and raised in Belize. She brought her eight children to the United States and created a beautiful life. She was the most hardworking woman and was an amazing caretaker. Along with her eight children, she was also a foster mother; every child that entered her home became her heart and soul. She loved so fiercely and left the biggest impact on all that she crossed paths with. Alma put her family and friends above all. She had the absolute biggest heart and was full of grace and kindness. Her family will forever rave about her incredible cooking, and of course, her pina coladas, bun bread, and tamales. Alma was so special and will be missed greatly.

Alma is survived by her children Luthrel (Happy) Trapp, Christine Gideon, Barbara Tillett, Jerry Trapp, Pearl Chance, David Trapp, Benjamin “Dean” Trapp; grandchildren Tonya, Kevin, Jamie, Jeremy, Michael, Kenneth, Whitney, Maiya, Artez, Kristopher, Justin, Joshua, Matthew, Dean, Benjamin Jr., and Evan; greatgrandchildren Travis, Jamie Jr., Anber, Rayshawn, Alyssa, Darius, Kevin, Kimoy, Oliva, Sophia, Ryker, Isabella, Raylan; and great-great-grandson Keenan; brothers Heartland Trapp, James Trapp; sisters Elorine Trapp, Adiana Turner; 19 nieces, 11 nephews; her best friend of over 60 years Yvonne Pollard; and numerous extended family and friends.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Tillett; son Steven Trapp; siblings Grace Gwendolyn Garbutt, James Trapp, Godwyn Turner, Pearl Trapp, nieces Abby Trapp, Elodia Cunningham, Ruby Turner, and nephew James Trapp Jr.; Granddaughter Jodie Gideon.
