Mildred was a childhood friend of my grandmother. When I was a child in the 1960s, she always took time to stop and have a word with me. She spoke to me as an equal, and was happy to share her wisdom, advice and memories – to me she was a kind of “teacher”. I admired and respected her very much.
    Sending condolences from “Down Under”.

So sad to learn of Mildred’s passing. She was such a sweet and gracious lady. Our family knew the Cage family through the grocery store families and through Oak Hill Baptist Church–Fond remembrances! My condolences and sympathy to her family.
