Betty Louise Housman Wehr passed away peacefully at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her husband John Wehr Sr, son, Jerry L Delano, two daughters Kathy Jean Delano and Anita Delano Walker as well as her parents Ed and Cliftia Housman, and two brothers Bob and Eddie Housman. She is survived by daughters, Christie Delano Nelson (John) of Murfreesboro, TN., Jerri Ann Delano Kilgore (Peanut) of Mt Vernon,In., Tina Wehr Young and son John Wehr Jr, Steve Walker of Mt.Vernon,In., along with her remaining siblings, Bill, John, Rick, and Randy Housman and her sister Jackie Overfield all of Evansville. She has eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Even after the loss of her loving husband and the perils of Alzheimer’s she was able to make new friends at Heritage Nursing Center. Betty loved people and always did what she wanted. Super thanks to Jerri Ann and Peanut for keeping her happy with Hamburgers and milkshakes and visits, as well as Chris Nelson and Chris Prince. Nathan, Amy and the staff members at Hertiage know you made her life a bit better each day. Each of you are blessings in this world.
Due to Covid there will not be a service. Anyone who wishes to honor Betty please donate to a food bank, or send a snack box to the first responders in your area. Our hearts are broken but our memories will give us strength.
