This holiday season, we’re partnering with Borrowed Hearts Foundation to bring joy to children in foster care throughout our community.
Drop off any new, unwrapped toys at our location between now and December 16, and bring joy to a foster child this holiday season.
Borrowed Hearts Foundation is a local Evansville organization dedicated to supporting children in foster care and their foster families. Since 2016, they’ve helped over 7,000 children by providing:
Clothing and shoes, hygiene items, toys and baby gear, essential supplies, and a loving support system.
For many of these children, a simple toy or stuffed animal becomes something precious—something that is just theirs when everything familiar has been stripped away. Below is a list of suggestions for what to donate, including new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
Toys & Games: Toys and games for infants through teens
Board games and puzzles
Building sets (LEGO, blocks, etc.) Dolls and action figures
Active Play:
– Sports equipment and outdoor toys
– Balls, jump ropes, frisbees
Creative Items:
– Arts and crafts supplies
– Coloring books and crayons
Books & More:
– Books for all ages
– Stuffed animals
Baby items (toys, blankets, etc.)
Gift Cards (especially appreciated by teens):
– Fast food restaurants
– Coffee shops
– Retail stores
